Jon, the Chief Investment Strategist at Arax, has dedicated his career to quantitative analysis and portfolio management, becoming an early advocate for integrating academic research and advanced technology in financial markets. With over 20 years of experience in strategic investment optimization, asset allocation, and portfolio construction and implementation, Jon leads the investment strategy team with a focus on performance, risk evaluation, measurement, and governance.

Jon’s extensive experience collaborating with advisory teams, investment committees, board members, and senior executives enables him to align investment strategies with each organization’s mission and goals. His innovative, efficient, and impactful methods have been adopted by institutional investors, hedge funds, and investment offices nationwide. Through the evolution of his contributions, investors have better recognized the potential to improve returns while improving efficiency and reducing behavioral bias.

Jon is also the Managing Partner at Quantum Portfolio Management and Index Technologies Group, both portfolio companies of Arax Investment Partners. Prior to Arax, Jon was a quantitative analyst, then portfolio manager at Prudential Securities where he worked to develop the firm’s efforts to incorporate technology into their investment strategies. At J.P. Morgan Securities and subsequently at Alex Brown, Jon supported institutional clients in enhancing portfolio efficiency by leveraging quantitative research, tactical asset allocation, and alternative investments. He developed the Reliability and Efficiency Ratios that scrutinizes data to score investment solutions based on the most important metrics.
